TYCOON SUDHIR JAILS KAMPALA CITY SOCIALITE OVER Shs170m RENT ARREARS.

Kampala flashy socialite Honest Kavuma aka Champagne Papi is coiling in Luzira Prison where he was caged last week following his arrest over unpaid rent arrears.

Sources say that Kavuma was arrested and caged at Murchison Bay Prison, Luzira, over allegations that he failed to pay rent arrears worth Shs170m to the management of tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia’s Speke Apartments.

Reports indicate that although he is said to own a mansion in Munyonyo, Kavuma some time back booked an apartment at Speke Apartments for two years and when they elapsed, he rented for two more years but fled one night without clearing the bills.

Moles reveal that when he fled, the Speke Apartments Management started hunting for him after many months had elapsed without him clearing the bill.

However, on learning that he was being hunted, Kavuma started playing hide and seek with Sudhir’s people, whereby he was always in and out of the country.

It is said that even when he would be in the country Kavuma would avoid calls and demand notices from the Management of Speke Apartments.

However, his luck ran out last week when he was nabbed, following a tip off from security after he landed at Entebbe International Airport.
