Maracha District Approves Shs 32.8 Billion for 2023 / 2024 Financial Year Budget.

The maracha district local government, during a council sitting on Tuesday 30-5-2023 approved a budget for the financial year 2023 and 2024 to the tune of 32,884,491,718 Shs. According to stakeholders the 2023 / 2024 financial year budget is slightly higher compared with 2022 / 2023 financial year budget. The lion’s share of next year’s budget is taken by education sector with Shs 14,964151355, followed by health sector which takes Shs 8,279,503,183 , Administration came third sector for resource allocation with 4,835,723,366 shillings. The district whose local revenue is about 1billion shs, expects to get Shs 31.2 billion from program and other conditional central government transfers , Shs 1billion from local revenue and Shs 491,490,000 from external financing to support the budget. WordPress has issued an automatic update to address a critical flaw in the  Jetpack plugin  that’s installed on over five million sites. The vulnerability, which was unearthed during an internal security audit, resides in an API present in the plugin since  version 2.0 , which was released in November 2012. “This vulnerability could be used by authors on a site to manipulate any files in the WordPress installation,” Jetpack said in an advisory. 102 new versions of Jetpack have been released to remediate the bug. While there is no evidence the issue has been exploited in the wild, it’s not uncommon for flaws in popular WordPress plugins to be leveraged by threat actors looking to take over the sites for malicious ends.
