ARUA CITY WOMAN MP HON. OSORU MAURINE DONATES 20 DELIVERY BEDS TO HEALTH FACILITIES IN ARUA CITY ON WOMEN'S DAY.

The woman member of Parliament Arua city Hon. Osoru Maurine has today, 8th March, 2022, International Women's day donated 20 delivery beds to the Health facilities in Arua city.

Speaking to participants marking the day in Arua city, Hon. Osoru said she is so particular about maternity wards and the life of mothers and their new born babies in the city, the reason she purchased the beds worth UGX. 48M.

Hon. Osoru thanked President Yoweri Kaguta .T. Museveni for empowering women which has seen over 40% of key positions in government occupied by women. She cited the VP H.E Jessca Alupo, the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, the 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Min. for East African Affairs Hon. Alitwala Rebecca Kadaga, the Vice Chancellor Muni University Christine Dranjoa, the RCC Alice Akello, the Minister of Education and Sports Mama Janet Museveni, the Min. of Health Dr. Ruth Jane Aceng, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development Dr. Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu, the Min. of Gender Labour and Social Development Hon. Betty Among, the State Min. Investment Anite Evelyn, the NRM Director of Finance and Administration Hajjat Naham Medina Ojale among others. She asked women to work closely with their husbands so as to build meaningful homes.

The RCC Arua city M/s Alice Akello advised men to love their wives and women to respect their husbands as they played complimentary roles in their families.

Present during the function was the MP Central division Arua city Hon. Atima Lee Jackson Buti, the chairman NRM Arua city Hon. Amaguru Joyce and the Deputy RCC Arua city Adomati Dickson.

The donation of delivery beds by Hon. Osoru Maurine comes barely 4 years since she donated 5 ambulances to help transport expectant mothers to Health facilities in Arua district.
