President Museveni last Friday added his voice in praising the works and contributions of the deceased former Bank of Uganda Governor, Prof Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile who passed away at Nairobi hospital. Museveni hailed the fallen Governor for enriching the economic ideas of the then new NRM government in the 1980s, and helping put Uganda’s economy back on track.   However, the president said Mutebile made a mistake by encouraging the government to fully liberalize the economy through mass privatization of government assets and parastatals including Uganda Commercial Bank. A regional court in the German city of Munich has ordered a website operator to pay €100 in damages for transferring a user's personal data — i.e., IP address — to Google via the search giant's Fonts library without the individual's consent. In his address to the nation, after firing the ministers last night President Chakwera vowed to confront all forms of lawless conduct by public officials. Coin Bureau, a popular information portal for cryptocurrency developments with over 600,000 followers on Twitter, experienced a security breach on its Youtube channel on Monday. Hackers allegedly uploaded a video with links to scam fiat/cryptocurrency addresses soliciting a token sale before being taken down by Youtube. According to Coin Bureau staff, they were baffled by the incident as its accounts were "secured with ultra-strong passwords and Google security keys." This was by no means an isolated incident. Prominent crypto Youtubers such as Ivan on Tech and Real Vision Finance have  had their accounts compromised  within the past few days.
