News from St. Joseph’s college Ombaci, Arua indicates that a S6 student of the school succumbed to an internal blood clot last evening from Arua referral hospital after sustaining serious injuries of which the school authorities are yet to ascertain the cause.
According to an inside source from the college, the school bus was not involved in any accident as earlier on reported by some sources. What happened is that the student only identified as Adinan was found to be covered in blood stains when the students body returned from their friendly outing from Maracha and Koboko. The authorities have reason to believe that the deceased and some colleagues may have gotten into a brawl during the match in Koboko and he got injured but his friends tried to conceal it for fear of being penalized.
On reaching the school premises, colleagues of the deceased claimed that he was bruised on the metallic gate as the bus entered the school. The school reacted quickly and rushed him to Arua radiology center for tests which unfortunately confirmed that the injury had occurred some hours back leading to an internal blood clot contrary to what his colleagues reported. He passed on minutes after arrival at the health facility. By press time, the school authorities had called an emergency meeting to establish the real cause of death of the student. We will be updating you on further details after the administration finalizes their investigations.
