Finance Minister Hon Kasaija Returns Scandalous Ironsheets for Fear of Being Arrested.

Finance Minister Matia Kasaija has returned to OPM stores in Namanve a consignment of the controversial Karamoja iron sheets he received, pending verification of quantity and quality by CID officers before acceptance by store administrators. The move by Kasaija comes a day after his junior, Amos Lugoloobi, was remanded to Luzira prison following his arrest on April 14, 2023 over the scandal that has left government struggling to save face. HEAVY STORM DEVASTATES, MARACHA DISTRICT STAKEHOLDERS CRY OUT FOR HELP.

: Azipi primary school block de-roofed by storm. Maracha district stakeholders have appealed for urgent relief intervention from Ministry of disaster and preparedness following wide range of devastation caused by trails of heavy Storm. The district recorded massive destruction to buildings following Sunday evening storm leaving several people homeless in the affected areas. Azipi primary school in Oleba subcounty was the most affected where the heavy Storm that lasted for more than three hours de-roofed block that used to accommodate three classes and headteacher’s offices setting school stakeholders into  ponder On the western wing of the school, two houses of the teaching staff including the kitchen of the headteacher were blown off leaving the two teachers homeless.
