WHAT HAPPENS TO THE DECEASED’S CHILDREN WHEN THEY ARE FROM DIFFERENT PARENTS?.

Musoke died last year. 7 children and his 3rd wife survived him. Of the 7 children, only 2 were from his 3rd marriage. In the distribution of Musoke’s property, the surviving wife told the other  5 children to go to their mothers. Unfortunately, all these children are still in school and they would like to know what to do about this? WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY? First, the Ugandan succession law says that all children, (born in marriage or not) have the same rights as children of the deceased under the law.  If the deceased, like Musoke, leaves behind a spouse (in this case a wife), then the law gives that spouse priority to apply to manage the property and estate of the deceased (letters of administration (authority to manage the estate of the deceased) before any other person. If such a spouse gets these letters of administration, he/she has a duty to manage and distribute the property of the deceased fairly. Therefore, an unfair distribution of the estate (such as chasing away some childr

Ruth Nankabirwa Asks Embattled Rebecca Kadaga to Apologise to President Museveni Before She Looses Her Position as the 2nd National NRM Vice Chairperson.

Former Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa demands that the defeated Speaker Rebecca Kadaga apologizes to President Museveni first if she is to be allowed to remain NRM 2nd National Vice Chairperson and CEC member. That her decision to stand as an independent shows she is indisciplined and ungrateful to Museveni who created the position of 2nd Vice Chairperson just to rehabilitate Kadaga many years ago after Mike Mukula defeated her to become the NRM vice chairman for Eastern region.

Church of Uganda Condemns Beating of Priests by State Minister Over Land Wrangle.

The Church of Uganda has condemned the beating of it’s priests by a junior minister from the eastern region. The unnamed minister allegedly roughed up three Anglican priests last Saturday over a land dispute, leaving them injured. The wrangle pits St John’s Church of Uganda Wera and the neighbouring Wera Seed Secondary School, both in Amuria District. The minister claims the church encroached on the school land he lobbied for. The injured clergy are; Simon Peter Olato, Benjamin Otasuro, and Peter Eriku. Witnesses told Daily Monitor the minister parked at Wera Seed Secondary School and dashed to a nearby garden where he found the priests and other Christians planting cassava stems. Rev Olato told Daily Monitor that the minister, accompanied by a bodyguard, on arrival called them “idiots” and questioned who gave them authority to open a garden on school land. “As we looked on in awe, [the minister] pulled a gun and grabbed a metallic rod from the hands of his bodyguard [and] began to spo

MARACHA COUNTY MP OGUZU LEE DENIS; BARIFA ACCUSATIONS ARE AN ATTEMPT AT DENTING MY REPUTATION.

My attention is drawn to several wild and outrageous accusations in which my name has been drawn without substantiation in relation to NFA license for ecotourism in Arua Central Forest Reserve. In their outburst, the driver\"s of the narrative asserted that I fraudulently acquired a 49 year lease in Barifa and I\"m fraudulently involved in processing the lease for the same with Arua city authorities. For the public\"s information, I\"ve no lease in Barifa.  The license I have was lawfully acquired under the National Forest Tree Planting Act 2003 and  through a transparent puplic procurement process as provided for in PPDA and cleared by Solicter General\"s office. Many might not have known about the adverts which I can\"t be blamed for.  National Forest Authority in 2017 put in both print and online public call to potential tree planters and ecotourism developers to express interest in various proposed activities in different CFRs across the country (see a

Museveni deserves to be promoted to a rank bigger than Field Marshall .Air Marshal for the air force , Field Marshall is for the field , and then there is Marshal which he deserves’’, said Taban. Ugly Embarrassment, Selfish Interest Cited, as the Newly Elected MPs from Westnile Region Met with President Museveni During Their Retreat at Kyankwanzi from 7-April to 29-April-2021.

According to an information Osuta Yusuf obtained, there is already impending fight and divisionism amongst the new MPs on "Who Should be the Chairperson for Westnile Parliamentary Caucus 2021 to 2026". The first mess began when President Museveni summoned all the newly elected MPs from all the regions in Uganda, to write a formal letter explaining the challenges facing the people from the Constituencies / Districts of the new Legislatures and what they expect from the Government. Each MP who wrote his / her letter, were directed to attach the letters all together with the letters of other MPs in the same region, and submit them generally as a region. From Westnile region, the anomalies surfaced when some MPs on self-proclaimed committee at that time of the retreat at Kyankwanzi expelled the formal letters written by some MPs. The second mess came in when the MPs failed to agree on who should stood to present the letters both formal letter and verbally to President Museveni. F

Fish are Dying, as Iraq Dumps Induatrial Wastes on Biblical "Garden of Eden".

In southern Iraq, putrid water gushes out of waste pipes into marshes reputed to be home to the biblical Garden of Eden, threatening an already fragile world heritage site. In a country where the state lacks the capacity to guarantee basic services, 70 percent of Iraq’s industrial waste is dumped directly into rivers or the sea, according to data compiled by the United Nations and academics. Jassim al-Asadi, head of non-governmental organisation Nature Iraq, told AFP news agency the black wastewater poured into the UNESCO-listed marshes carries “pollution and heavy metals that directly threaten the flora and fauna” present there. Once an engineer at Iraq’s water resources ministry, al-Asadi left that job to dedicate himself to saving the extraordinary natural habitat, which had previously faced destruction at the hands of former dictator Saddam Hussein and is further jeopardised by climate change. The pollutants also “indirectly impact humans via the buffalo”, fixtures of the marshes a
