LOVE LETTERS AND CHEATING.
Kapeere (who have been talking about alot lately) spent the better part of 2020 and 2021 trying to convince his Ex Nakimuli to come back to him. Unfortunately, because these were unwanted advances, he was arrested and charged with cyberharassment. Kapeere's 'real' wife was following the court case and found out that Kapeere sent 365 messages to Nakimuli (who Kapeeere told her was "history"). She stormed out of court and immediately packed Kapeere's belongings and threw them out the house. She even wanted to know if it was possible to divorce Kapeere for cheating on her in messages.
IS CHEATING THE SAME AS ADULTERY?
Unfortunately, cheating is not necessarily the same as adultery.
IF this cheating involves sex, then it may be taken as adultery. Adultery means voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not his or her spouse.
Since the love letters that Kapeere sent to Nakimuli did not mean that he was committing adultery. although this is cheating, it is not a reason according to the laws of uganda to ask for a divorce. Our suggestion, is just don't do it. It may not lead to divorce but you just don't want to be like Kapeere.
