RDC ARUA DISTRICT NAHORI OYAA AND DEPUTY RCC ARUA CITY ADOMATI DICKSON STEP IN TO ENSURE HEALTH WORKERS* AND MOBILIZERS ARE PAID THEIR ACCELERATED MASS VACCINATION ALLOWANCES FOR COVID-19 AND POLIO.
Health workers have been requested to stay calm as efforts are being put together and expedited to have them paid their allowances for accelerated mass vaccination against covid 19 and polio immunisation.
This call was made by the Deputy Resident City Commissioner Arua, Mr. Adomati Dickson at a joint meeting with Arua district authorities at the board room today, 28th February, 2022. Adomati said, "government sent this money sometime back but the lack of a proper structure built by the DHOs of Arua district and Arua city, lack of communication, slow processing of the money and delayed supplementary budget approval of the allowances have hampered payments."
The Resident District Commissioner, Arua district, Mr. Nahori Oyaa Awua, asked the CAO and Finance Officer to speed up the payments adding that it had become a serious issue.
The chief Finance Officer Arua district assured members that the money was available and due for payment the moment both local governments completed documentation.
Arua city and Arua district Health workers are due to start receiving the money soon since preparations to pay them are in final stages.
While closing the meeting, Dickson cautioned the two DHOs against such unnecessary delays to pay Health workers since it poses a serious security threat. He promised that the office of the Resident City and District Commissioners would follow this money until all Health workers were duly paid.
