LEGAL RUDDLE ALERT!!!

Kabanda has always been taller than his agemates. Most times people mistake him for an adult and yet he is only 17 years of age. Last week, his mother also forgot his age and sent him with the rent money to deposit it on the landlord’s account. On his way, he was ‘convinced’ by a guy at a sports betting shop to bet on the ‘winning’ team on TV.

Unfortunately for Kabanda, his money was ‘eaten and he went back home and hid in his bedroom. At night, the landlord passed by to complain about the money that did not arrive. This is how Kabanda’s mother found out that Kabanda never sent the money.

The following morning, Kabanda and his mother went to the Sports betting shop to demand for her money that Kabanda had used. Do you think Kabanda’s mother has any entitlement to the money? Should the betting shop have asked about Kabanda’s age? Let us know in the comments below.
