Executing Presidential Directive; Police in Jinja Intercept Fuso Loaded with Cows from Mbarara, Enroute to WestNile Region.

This photo taken on 2-September-2022 shows one of the two truck loaded with cows parked at Jinja Police Station. One of the drivers said the long-horned cows were being ferried from Mbarara to West Nile when they were intercepted.

Police were enforcing a presidential directive barring the transportation of cows to Northern Uganda, unless by those with land there.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise.
