Bond; IGG Releases Arrested CAO Walakira, Warns Him to Effect Interdiction of Six Maracha District Officials or He Gets Interdicted First.

IGG has released embattled Maracha District CAO Paul Walakira who was arrested on 23-9-2022 for defying lawful letters / orders, tasks him to effect the interdiction of six Maracha District officials DEO, CFO, District Engineer, Internal Auditor and Two Other Assistant Engineers over shoddy work and mismanagement of government funds at the tune of 1.9 billion Shs meant for the construction of Classroom blocks, ICT Lab, football field, VIP latrines and staff houses at Kololo Seed secondary school in Tara Sub-county Maracha District.

The project whose contract was awarded to ACHORU UNITED TRADERS LTD in 2019 lagged for two years without completion and the contractor has since vanished from the site.
