RDC Mr Festus Handsover 451 Bicycles to LC1s & LC2s in Maracha, Advised Them to be Cautious.

The Resident District Commissioner for Maracha District, Mr Festus Ayikobua has on Tuesday 4-October-2022 handed over a total of 451 bicycles 🚲 to 409 LC1 Chairpersons and 42 LC II Chairpersons in Maracha District.

While presiding over the function, Mr Festus has warned the LCs against misuse of government properties and abuse of office.

The Resident District Commissioner made the statement following an arrest of some LC1 Chairpersons in Three Sub-counties (Tara Sub-county, Maracha Town Council and Kijomoro Sub-county) over writing permits for stolen animals.

Let whoever wants to sale their animals, come with the animals and witnesses before writing a letter to permit the sale, Mr Ayikobua guided the LCs.

He also urged the them not to sale or mismanage the bicycles but rather use them to ease office works.

The RDC gave a strong warning, saying, law will catch up with any LC who will sale the bicycle.
