Mbale NRM Chairperson John Wekesa has Constructed Road for Residents.

Eng. John Wekesa Wambogo, the Director of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) at Operation Wealth Creation and the NRM Chairman Mbale City has intervened and constructed a road for Bukasakya residents in the Mbale Industrial Division.

The 2km stretch connects Zabanyanya to Marale trading center.

Eng. Wambogo says the Shs 34m road project will help the community with transport once completed

“We have a health center ahead and it has been difficult for expectant mothers to access the facility through this road.” Wambogo said.

Wambogo said, he’s also planning to connect taped water, electricity and put street lights on this road if completed.”

Eng. Wambogo disclosed that, the road will form the shortest link to the trading centers, enhancing movement of both pedestrians and motorists.

The residents expressed gratitude to the NRM chairman for this timely intervention.

Masaba Abdu, one of the locals of Bukasakya said, “I am happy that pedestrians, Boda bodas and cares can now access the road without any fear.”
