A group of angry mob led by Hon Ofezu Sunday Councillor for Arivu Ward to Ayivu Division - Arua City have this afternoon 1pm 12-July-2022 stormed the office of Deputy RDC for Arua District (formerly Vurra County) Mr Ezama Ham Muzamil in an attempt to confront him on what they alleged, it's Mr Ham Ezama who commands the Police at Arua CPS to release some certain Thieves nicknamed "Garamba Boys" who have been arrested for robbing people in Arivu.
When the Deputy RDC was confronted, he said, he can not speak or mention any statement until the Mobs sign a Visitor's book, something that made many of them to run away and only 17 people signed the Visitor's book (see attached photo) 👇👇
The angry mobs said, this +256781156385 telephone number they allege belongs to someone in Authority has been using the telephone number to call and intimidate the area LC 1 Chairman of Township Cell in Arivu Ward, Dadamu Sub-county in Ayivu East Division for his involvement in the arrest of those thieves.
It's said that, the same telephone number warned the LC1 and few other people to backoff from arresting those thieves if they want to be safe.
It's not yet clear what that anonymous telephone number user means by saying if the LC1 Chairman wants to be safe, he should stop following and supporting arrest of those thieves.
INNOCENCE.
However, to prove his innocence in the mess, the Deputy RDC Mr Ham in the presence of everyone in OC CID's office asked the mob to call the telephone number in question, which they called and was going through but unanswered.
He also asked them to verify the identity of the telephone number through mobile money method, which they did and was showing the name "Achile Twaibu" used to register it.
FORGIVENESS.
The Councillor together with the Mob asked for forgiveness from the Deputy RDC.
Mr Ezama Ham Muzamil, the Deputy RDC accepted to forgive them on one condition, that, they must make a recorded statement on Media, less of that, he would not forgive but rather arrest them for defamation and attempt to assault him.
The Councillor, who led those angry mob, being a Human just like any other person, accepted their error for Mistaken Identity and Defamation, and have apologized to the Deputy RDC Mr Ham.

When the Deputy RDC was contacted for a comment regarding the whole issue, he said, those people threatened him over a mistaken identity but he is happy that, they have realized their mistakes and have apologized to him through the media.
He said, that should be the first and the last for those people to drag him into acts, which he said are aimed at denting his reputation and may cost his current job and future careers.

Onlookers at the scene said, this is not the first time such a shameful act is being done to Mr Ezama Ham Muzamil since he was appointed in March-2022 by President Museveni to head that office.
In June-2022, a group of some people plotted a same syndicate against the Deputy RDC when he was trying to solve a land wrangle in Vurra County, the witnesses said.
