Arua City, the Heart of WestNile Region Under Terror by Thugs.

Last night 17-7-2022, thieves, believed to be belonging to a gangster group called “Jobless Brothers” at Qrabu in Oli Division stabbed a teenager to death.

It’s alleged that, the thieves began to trail the boy from the place where he sales chapati and eventually stabbed him on the way for several times on the body, leading to his death.

The mother of the deceased who works in South Sudan, whom on lookers said is her only son, has asked people not to bury her only son before she arrives to see the dead body with her own eyes.

The murder of this innocent boy comes months after thieves perpetrated havoc in other parts of Arua City, leaving innocent people with bruises as a result of their robbery act.

In Jiako, another notorious group of thugs nicknamed “Garamba Boys” robbed many Ugandans including Sudanese in Jiako, boarding Central Division Arua and Ayivu East Constituency.

The arrest of those thieves “Garamba Boys” at Jiako a week ago has brought some relief in that area.

Night and broad day robberies in Arua City have still remained a big challenge despite of efforts by different Security agencies (Brigade Commander, RPC, RCC, D-RCCs, DPC, ISO, CMI, Police) and other entities of government to bring law and order in the city.

Parliament Urges Government to Provide Shs 4 Billion to Media Houses to Run Awareness Campaign on Tourism in Uganda.

Parliament also urged Gov’t to provide additional Shs4Bn to UTB to engage international and national media houses in production of positive media stories for improved destination image, following reports of drop in number of tourists from US, Europe and China visiting Uganda.
