MPs; Hon Ayaka Rose, James Acidri, Babadiri and James Baba Spearheading Land Conflict Resolution Dialogue Between the People of Maracha District and Koboko District.



On Thursday 28-May-2020, a land boundary dispute erupted amongst the People of Tara Sub-County in Maracha District and Lobule Sub-County in Koboko District, resulting into destruction of Crops, burning of Six Houses and 21 Goats belonging to People of Tara Sub-County, were grabbed by the People of Lobule Sub-County.
From Background, the land conflict was triggered by a misunderstanding betwixt the People of Arwe Village, Ombavu Parish Tara Sub-County , Maracha District and Koboko District over the Land Boundary and a Fish 🐟 Pond project.
Present representatives were; LC V Chairpersons, DPCs, NRM Chairpersons, DLG Councillors, GISOs, LC III Chairpersons, Technocrats and Elders all from both sides (Maracha District and Koboko District).
Also present was, Regional Police Commander for WestNile Region.
The Mediation of this Conflict is been done by Mr Bada, former District Planner Koboko.

UGANDA ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO ELIMINATE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS (IDs) FOR 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise. One would be very NAIVE to think that Bobi Wine has not prepared for this in his Business Plan under the RISK section. It is public knowledge that our EC is not independent.  It is also public knowledge that Military Dictator Yoweri Museveni will never lose an election. What stunned us this morning is when we noticed that on social media, people were mocking Bobi with his "get your Ndagamuntu".  We are on record for saying to all Our readers that the National ID is like Apartheid in South Africa. Students of History would know how those IDs were being used to arrest people, deny them jobs, deny them basic services. Consequently, Bobi was not wrong and will never be wrong on the Ndagamuntu.
