Speaking at the bridge work, Mr Abdul Malik said, as a community, they have written several letters, made several calls including sending messages to the MP for any amount of assistance to help them in this bridge work but up to date, the MP has turned deaf ears for them.
We even tried through his campaign agents and still in vain, - Mr Abdul noted.
The community members have also cited sabotage from their area LC III Chairman Hon Pariyo Joel whom the communities have accused of isolating and speaking ill about their initiative to save lives by constructing "Adumini" a death trap bridge.
The appalling state of the bridge has caused death to one man and others injured during previous flooding.
Since the inception of this community project, it is only the Deputy RDC Mr Ezama Ham Mizamil who has so far donated 100,000 Shs and 10 bags of cement, Hon Anguzu Solomon secretary for finance gave 100,000 Shs and LC V Chairman Hon Alfred Okuonzi lobbied high quality culverts worth 18,000,000 Shs from Ministry of Works and Transport.
The community project Chairperson in his conclusion remarks, appealed to office of the RDC to help them write letters to lobby for resources from some of the NGOs in WestNile region who can be able to donate for them resources to finish the project.
From the initial estimation, 80 bags of cement have been required to complete the work, of which, the community managed to mobilize 40 bags of cement with 4 million shs which have all been used.
The community through its Chairperson Mr Malik Abdul, have now appealed to any well wisher to help them in raising the remaining money 4 million shs and 40 bags of cement.
