Give us more offertory or we shall accept good money from gays (lesbians) - Head of Ugandan Pastor’s Association has said.

Bishop David Kiganda, the National Pastors Platform of Uganda and founder of Christianity Focus Ministries has said called upon the religious faithful to invest money in the church or excuse themselves from the fight against homosexuality.

In a viral social media video, Kiganda said that those who are fighting homosexuality should give to the church if they do not want the church to beg money from gays.

“If you do not want homosexuality here yet you do not give to the church, then you are a traitor and liar. If you do not want the church to beg for money from homosexuals, give us more offertory to do God’s work,” Kiganda said.

He said that those who are in a verbal fight against homosexuality instead of giving the church money are wasting time.

“What are you doing about it? It is not about talking, give us money,” Kiganda added.

In 2019,  Kiganda led a group of pastors in petitioning president Museveni to reject the proposed law to regulate faith-based organisations.

In the petition, Kiganda said they did not want to be placed under the Ministry of Ethics and Integrity because it would take away “our credibility.”

Meanwhile Kiganda is no stranger to news headlines, in 2006, a domestic row erupted in his marriage after his wife Hadijja Nasejje cheated on him with a chapati seller in the neighbourhood.

Kiganda divorced Nasejje and remarried a year later.

In October 2006, a domestic row erupted in the home of David Kiganda, the senior pastor of Christianity Focus Centre in Mengo, Kisenyi, when his wife, Hadijja Nasejje, allegedly cheated on him with a man selling chapattis.

UGANDA ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO ELIMINATE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS (IDs) FOR 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise. One would be very NAIVE to think that Bobi Wine has not prepared for this in his Business Plan under the RISK section. It is public knowledge that our EC is not independent.  It is also public knowledge that Military Dictator Yoweri Museveni will never lose an election. What stunned us this morning is when we noticed that on social media, people were mocking Bobi with his "get your Ndagamuntu".  We are on record for saying to all Our readers that the National ID is like Apartheid in South Africa. Students of History would know how those IDs were being used to arrest people, deny them jobs, deny them basic services. Consequently, Bobi was not wrong and will never be wrong on the Ndagamuntu. Except the ones attacking him and mocking him forget that in Uganda, now, no National ID (Ndagamuntu), no service.  If you have not been denied registering your child i...
