A team of government officials from Kiruhura have on Friday 10-March-2023 concluded a three day meeting held with the family members of former Vice President Gen Mustafa Abadaki and a group of Cadres under their umbrella called "WestNile Effort for President Museveni".
The officials who were led by UPDF Army officers at the ranks of Colonel, had lengthy discussions with the family and the caders on how they can cooperate with each other to restore the family's glory and help the entire WestNile region.
The delegation pledged total support on socio-economic transformation projects.
Mr Ezama Ham Mizamil, the Deputy RDC for Arua District who chaired and closed the meeting on Friday 10-March-2023 said, the visit by the officials from Kiruhura is a good gesture to realize the immense contributions made by the former vice President Gen Abadaki.
The Deputy RDC said, the death of Gen Abadaki has left a big gap in the family and entire WestNile region.
How can the whole family of former Vice President and also a Soldier at the rank of "Gen" has no single soldier even at the rank of "Captain" or "Major", that is shameful, the Deputy RDC lamented.
Following his personality and the legacies, Mr Ezama Ham appealed to the delegation to consider the General's family members as another priority when other opportunities like recruitment of soldiers come.
The District Internal Security Officer (DISO) for Arua District, Mr Amaku Emmanuel urged the delegation to consider extending Retreat and Orientation centers like Kyankwanzi to be built in other regions like WestNile, Acholi, Karamoja for easier Orientation, Mindset Change and patriotism clubs.
Mr Amaku also hinted on Agricultural projects as ventures the entire quorum in the meeting should consider to venture into if they are to realize quick profitability 📈 .
