DISAPPOINTMENT: ARUA CITY FAILS TO SEND PARTICIPANTS FOR THE PRIMARY SCHOOLS NATIONAL BALL GAMES AFTER WEEKS OF TRAINING.

It is so painful listening to young talents selected from different schools within Arua City, expressing their disappointment after weeks of training to represent the city of opportunities in this year's Primary Schools National Ball Games scheduled for Tuesday, 16/08/2022 in Masaka.

Some of these young and talented players who camped at Ediofe Primary School for training had to miss exams and lessons for weeks as they only focused on training with hope of registering success in football, netball, volleyball and handball during the national games.

Unfortunately, Arua City Council claims that there is "NO MONEY" to transport the team for this national event, though schools Head Teachers raised more than nine (9) million shillings for feeding😥 I have learnt that the council is supposed to facilitate the transportation at the timed of twelve (12) million shillings.

This is not the first time; few years ago, Arua Municipal Council (then) went SILENT after the similar team sent to represent at national level for athletics struggled to manage as they ran out of food for days, SAD!!!

MANY QUESTIONS remain UNANSWERED... 🙆and something MUST be done to save the next generations 🙋
