An employee is a person who agrees to work for another person in exchange for a payment known as a wage or salary. By law this person/company (employer) that you work under must provide you with work to do and has certain duties towards you. For example, the employer (the boss) is responsible for ensuring your safety, paying your salary on time, providing tools for your work, and paying certain taxes on your behalf to the tax authorities like PAYE and local service tax, as well as pay your NSSF.
You as an employee must carry out certain duties assigned to you as per your contract, keep work hours, receive annual leave and only work for that one employer (if you are a full-time employee)
