The NRM Parliamentary Caucus Sitting today at Kololo has Passed a Resolution to Increase the Number of Cabinet Ministers from 21 to 29 and as Well 51 State Ministers, Bringing the Number to "80" Ministers in Total.
The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Parliamentary Caucus has passed a resolution supporting President Museveni to increase the number of Ministers from 21 as required by the constitution to 29 Cabinet Ministers and 51 State Ministers.
Museveni Monday proposed to the NRM Caucus to introduce one more position for Minister of State to bringing the total number of Ministers from 79 to 80.
The motion was passed by the caucus.
Speaking at Kololo Independence Grounds, Museveni said he will announce the full cabinet list soon.
Museveni said he wants to maintain the same number of ministers who are 79+1 slot of state minister.
The NRM caucus agreed with the President.
The president was meeting the NRM caucus to choose leaders of parliamentary committees in the 11th August House.
“I want to thank you for the way you conducted yourselves in the Speaker and Deputy Speaker race. You behaved like a party,” Museveni the caucus.
“Politics is about force, you must have force and act as a force. You had created factions (Oulanyah and Kadaga). Such factions are not good and shouldn’t happen in our party.”
