Maracha District Woman MP Driwaru Jennifer Preaches Unity Amongst MPs from Westnile Region, as they Rally for Free / Compulsory Covid-19 Testing in the Region.

This is according to a post on her official Social Media page.

As the whole country goes into a crisis caused by Covid-19 pandemic, with hundreds and thousands of people traveling from Cities / Urban centers to the rural areas for fear of being caught up by a lot of financial, medical and food challenges during this 42 days Lockdown, my area of concern is the safety of those who are already in the villages but they may contract Covid-19, should these urban inhabitants enter the villages without being tested for Covid-19.

I am fatigued over the manner in which Covid-19 related situations are being handled in our region of Westnile, with fewer Covid-19 testing centers, and more over people are asked to pay money first before being tested for the pandemic.

I have come up with an idea, if we the MPs from Westnile region sit to discuss on the situation of fostering a way to ensure there is free compulsory Covid-19 testing for people entering into the region.

This way, we will save the lives of those in the villages who are free from Covid-19 while we evacuate these ones in the urban areas.
