Weeping in Maracha as Headteacher Mr James Etima Tops the List of Those Lost to Rampant Accidents in the District.

The people of Maracha District have found themselves into more mystery after the tarmacked highway road has turned to be their death spots, killing them one after the other due to reckless drivers / riders and lack of proper humps.
With the previously noticeable accidents which claimed prominent people like Hon Droma Morish DLC Councillor representing people of Yivu Sub-county to the District who was knocked dead on 7-April-2023, a day later Police officer Sergeant Adiga Constantine was knocked dead on spot as he tried to cross over the highway to Maracha Central Police Station (Maracha CPS), and many other unnoticeable accidents, the district was on monday morning 15-5-2023 robbed of another prominent person, the Nyadri urban secondary school headteacher who died on the spot following a fatal road accident.
The headteacher identified as Mr James Etima reportedly met his death on tarmacked Arua – Maracha – Koboko highway.
The accident near Bura primary school occurred when the headteacher who was enroute to neighbouring otravu secondary school for official duty on senke motorcycle had head-on collision with another Bajaj boxer Rider after the heateacher attempted to over take a tipper lorry vehicle which was a head of him henceforth causing the collision.
The incident left two unidentified people who were riding on the Bajaj boxer motorcycle, in critical conditions but were rushed to St Joseph’s Maracha hospital with help of police patrol vehicle from Maracha central police station.
Eye witness, Mr Bosco Acile explained that, the incident happened when the headteacher attempted to overtake a tipper lorry vehicle.
“The headteacher was on speed as the tipper vehicle reduced speed as it approached the humps,the headteacher who wanted to over take found himself in head on collision with advancing motorcycle, he bled profusely and died on spot.”
Mr Wolo David, a relative of the deceased confirmed regrets and terms the incident as unfortunate and big blow to the clan and entire population of Maracha district.
” The deceased had previously thought in Yivu secondary school for been transferred to Otravu secondary school, he todate also served as the headteacher Nyadri Urban secondary school for many years, Mr David explained.
