On 24/06/2022, I was privileged to cross over to DRC - Aru Territorial Headquarters to receive a friend's stolen vehicle on behalf of the RCC and RDC Arua. Due to the porousness of the borderline between Arua and DRC many Ugandan stolen vehicles are sneaked across by thugs. We discovered many Ugandan stolen vehicles are being driven in DRC without registration number plates and some parked at the police station unclaimed. You recall a few months ago 2 ambulances were stolen from Arua Hospital and sold in DRC but still not recovered. I thanked the Congolese security authorities for exhibiting professionalism this time around and encouraged them to continue collaborating with their Ugandan counterparts to stamp out this vice of vehicle theft. Efforts are underway to recover the stolen ambulances and hopefully they will be returned sooner than later. The vehicle we recovered will be handed over to the owner as soon as he comes to Arua by the RCC Arua and RDC Arua, for now the vehicle is parked at Arua Central Police Station for safe custody. UGANDA ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO ELIMINATE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS (IDs) FOR 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise. One would be very NAIVE to think that Bobi Wine has not prepared for this in his Business Plan under the RISK section. It is public knowledge that our EC is not independent.  It is also public knowledge that Military Dictator Yoweri Museveni will never lose an election. What stunned us this morning is when we noticed that on social media, people were mocking Bobi with his "get your Ndagamuntu".  We are on record for saying to all Our readers that the National ID is like Apartheid in South Africa. Students of History would know how those IDs were being used to arrest people, deny them jobs, deny them basic services. Consequently, Bobi was not wrong and will never be wrong on the Ndagamuntu.
