Hon Obitre Stephen Abused and Threatened to Deal With Me, Maracha District NRM Chairman Mr Ofekua Gabriel Explains Why He Fought With LC5 Chairman.

There was free drama at Maracha district headquarters on Wednesday morning 15-6-2022 when Stephen Obitre, the district Chairperson exchanged hot blows with the district NRM Chairperson, Gabriel Ofeku allegedly over the arrested district officials.

The two engaged in physical fight after a sharp disagreement on whether the officials were worth being arrested or not.

The officials including Timothy Ezati, the district engineer, Flavia Osoa, the DEO, Paul Abiribale Tatia, the district Internal Auditor and Nolah Avako, the Senior Environment officer were arrested on Tuesday over allegations of abuse of office and misappropriation of shs1.9billion meant for different projects at Kololo Seed secondary school in Tara sub county.

However, reports indicate that Obitre and Ofeku started developing the misunderstanding over the above civil servants last week when information reached the district that Peter Ogwang, the State Minister for economic monitoring has ordered Festus Ayikobua, the Maracha RDC to have the implicated officials arrested.

Being the NRM Chairperson and having gathered a lot about the suspects, we were told that Ofeku was so excited about the news but Obitre wanted the officials out of jail on grounds that the implicated officials are vote controllers in the district.

His argument was that since the financial year was coming to an end, the officials needed to balance their books and release funds for activities before the monies are returned to the treasury.

However, Ofeku insisted that the law must take its course since the officials’ act has already caused loss of tax payers’ money.

The situation worsened on Tuesday when the officials were finally arrested, leading to a bitter exchange between the two district bosses on phone.

When the two physically met at the district headquarters on Wednesday, they immediately greeted each other with hot blows.

Eye witnesses said the district bosses collared and boxed each other until different staff members abondoned their laptops and jumped out of their offices to separate the two.

In the process, the LC5 and the NRM chairman’s shirts were torn.

After the fight, Obitre entered his car and drove at neck break speed towards Arua town, leaving the giant Ofeku still yawning for more.

UGANDA ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO ELIMINATE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS (IDs) FOR 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise. One would be very NAIVE to think that Bobi Wine has not prepared for this in his Business Plan under the RISK section. It is public knowledge that our EC is not independent.  It is also public knowledge that Military Dictator Yoweri Museveni will never lose an election. What stunned us this morning is when we noticed that on social media, people were mocking Bobi with his "get your Ndagamuntu".  We are on record for saying to all Our readers that the National ID is like Apartheid in South Africa. Students of History would know how those IDs were being used to arrest people, deny them jobs, deny them basic services. Consequently, Bobi was not wrong and will never be wrong on the Ndagamuntu. Except the ones attacking him and mocking him forget that in Uganda, now, no National ID (Ndagamuntu), no service.  If you have not been denied registering your child i...

Here is Why Our Utterances For Praying Jesus And God To Come Liberate Ugandans, May Be Misplaced. This Phrase is like inform of a Letter To Some Categorized Section Of Ugandans.

Last week of March, a friend told me to pray for Uganda.  I told him that he was an Idiot and we have prayed for too long and we are still hungry and sick and Jesus is not coming soon to liberate us. He then ignored the STUPID and sent me a picture we all now know.  It got me totally messed up.  This guy was telling me to pray then sends a picture of men bowing down in blood.  He might have meant guns but I blocked him because his utterances of praying for Uganda were misplaced. I unblocked him 3 weeks later and asked him about praying and assassinations.  His reply "eithrr prayers or guns or both". I hate violence with a passion.  So he is now blocked in like FOREVER. Do you feel safe?  Do not feel safe. Uganda regim...
