BARIFA FOREST ECOTOURISM PROJECT IS TAKING A BLOODY TREND IN ARUA CITY - WESTNILE REGION.

Days ago when Anguzu Vincent was arrested on 18-1-2022 8pm, bond was denied for him, file sanctioned and he was remanded to Giligili government prison until 28-1-2022.

A day ago, two guys suspected to have confiscated Hon Oguzu Lee’s slashing machine during their demonstration in Barifa Forest months ago were arrested and detained at Arua CPS.

Early this morning 8am 21-1-2022, Hon Feta Geoffrey, Titus Acewere plus some 15 Youths stormed Arua Central Police station when complainant Hon Denis Oguzu Lee went there to record his statement over the case.

Hon Oguzu Lee was with some man called Mr Yuda.

The then high tempered people began quarreling with Police and Hon Oguzu.

They wanted a physical fight but Hon Oguzu and Mr Yuda refused to fight with them.

Police feared them because their numbers overwhelmed the police at Arua CPS and they eventually went away with the two suspects who have been detained at CPS.

They (Hon Feta, Acewere and the team) claimed the suspects have spent more than the constitutional 48 hours for a suspect to be in polite custody.

The physically furious team  also warned the Police and Hon Oguzu Lee, saying, whoever dares to step foot in Barifa forest for any activity shall be dealt with in chaos.
