A second night of violence erupted again between Palestinians and Israeli police at the Damascus Gate in Old Jerusalem Sunday, with at least 10 arrests reported and 19 Palestinian protesters reportedly injured.
A Hamas spox and frmr Israel Police commander cited the visit of Israeli FM Yair Lapid to the area as a provocation on the third day of Ramadan, which current Jerusalem district head of operations Wassam Ali denied.
Israeli cops had arrested two Palestinian TikTok users for incitement of aggression against Israelis, while on Saturday Jewish youths were reportedly seen chanting “Death to Arabs” near the Damascus Gate.
