City Councillor Hon Oshino Rashid Organises Sports Tournaments.


Following the election of Hon Oshino into the office of Councillor representing Bazaar Ward, Central Division in Arua City Council, he has identified Sports events as one of the unifying factors that does not only keep our Youths busy but has also turned  to be a form of exercise and a stooge for marketing their skills to the Sports World.
In less than one year since his election on January-2021 and sworn into office in May-2021,  Hon Rashid Oshino has been able to lobby for sports uniforms, footballs and other items through EDOMA FOUNDATION partner which have so far organized two Sports tournaments;
1. End of year (2021)  tournament that yielded in participation of six male clubs (four from Bazaar Ward and Two from other Wards) in Central Division and the winner, Ozua Cell from Kenya Ward won the trophy as a result shs 300,000 and the trophy were given to them as a reward, the second club (Hawker) won Shs 200,000 and the last four clubs walked away with shs 100,000 each as appreciation.


2. The Easter Tournament.
This time, the Easter tournament which has seven women clubs that will be playing the  finals tomorrow Saturday 16-4-2022 at Arua Public Primary School football field shall be awarded the same prices with the winner bagging home Shs 300000 with the Trophy, the second club will take 200000 shs and the last five clubs will be offered 100,000 Shs ech as appraisal.

UGANDA ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO ELIMINATE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS (IDs) FOR 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise. One would be very NAIVE to think that Bobi Wine has not prepared for this in his Business Plan under the RISK section. It is public knowledge that our EC is not independent.  It is also public knowledge that Military Dictator Yoweri Museveni will never lose an election. What stunned us this morning is when we noticed that on social media, people were mocking Bobi with his "get your Ndagamuntu".  We are on record for saying to all Our readers that the National ID is like Apartheid in South Africa. Students of History would know how those IDs were being used to arrest people, deny them jobs, deny them basic services. Consequently, Bobi was not wrong and will never be wrong on the Ndagamuntu.
