Arua Leaders Agitate for Construction of Life-threatening Awindiri - Pajulu Bridge After it was Spoiled by Heavy Trailers of, the then British American Tobacco (BAT) Company and now Alliance One.
The Member of Parliament Ayivu East Constituency Hon. Feta Geofrey has appealed to Arua city authorities to re-adjust their priorities to include the construction of Awindiri - Pajulu (BAT) bridge. Speaking at the bridge this morning, 4th September, 2021, the legislator said this bridge is used by so many residents of Pajulu to access city centre and that if not done will jeopardize economic activities of so many people.
The Deputy Resident City Commissioner (DRCC), Arua city, Mr. Adomati Dickson said, he has always been passionate about that bridge the reason he requested Commissioner bridges, Mr. Pariyo Lawrence to accompany him to see the bridge. He noted that the bridge was supposed to have been constructed using USMID funds but wasn't done adding that he would follow the matter with Arua district authorities. Mr. Adomati emphasised the need to fast track the process of constructing that bridge because of the high rate of traffic in that area.
The commissioner bridges thanked the duo for being concerned about the development agenda of the city and promised to follow with the Town clerk Arua city and CAO Arua district so that this bridge is constructed.
