Third Day Visit to UK; Delegation of Ugandan MPs Secure Another Partner to Do Research and Funding on Neglected Diseases in Uganda.

The Terego District Woman MP Hon Rose Obigah earlier today 3-Feb-2023 chaired a session with Schistosomiasis Control Initiative (SCI) Foundation, a charity organization that works in doing research, to discuss neglected tropical diseases both in Humans and Animals in Uganda, that include among others; traechoma, sleeping sickness , flavia, elephantiasis, nagana, leprosy, mites causing infections and terrible itching etc etc.


SCI Foundation pledged to support Ministry of Health Uganda through adequate research and fundings to cater for hard-to-reach areas in the Country 🇺🇬.

Akol Esther serves in the Very Important Persons Protection Unit (VIPPU) of the police force. Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire says Akol Esther might be demoted or expelled from the police force if found guilty of circulating nude photos. Police court is yet to announce date when Akol Esther is expected to appear for a hearing. This comes at a time when Pornography Control Committee is taking tough measures against persons circulating pornography content. The committee warned and promised to arrest persons who will circulate pornographic content.
