MBARARA CITY: Hungry Man Attempts Suicide On UMEME line after failing to find food.

An unidentified 20-year-old man this afternoon Tuesday 21-2-2023 has been rescued by Police after climbing electric poles n Mabrara Town, Mabrara city. 

According to the eye witness one Geofrey Ndyanabo, a security guard at Amazon building said that he saw this young man climbing the deadly electric pole at around 2:00 pm after going to the nearby supermarket where he had gone to ask for food. When the supermarket people refused to give him food, out of frustration he decided to climb the pole in order to commit suicide. 


Immediately, Umeme and Police managed to rescue him and took him away to check whether he is mentally stable. Fortunately, at the time of the incidence there was a power black out in the area something that gave him a second chance to live.
