Update on the People Who Drowned in River Nile, Pakwach District.

As Per Panyango Police Post SD ref 06/06/10/2020.

Three of the 4 missing dead bodies have been retrieved in a search following the incident of boat capsizing on river Nile in Pakwach district on Tuesday 06/10/2020. Meanwhile one remaining body of a victim called Shukuran, Female/Adult from Erusi Sub county, Nebbi district is still being searched. This makes the recovered bodies from this deadly incident to be 4 and their names are Ofoy Jakuma Female Adult from Erusi sub county, Rwothmio Male juvenile from Erusi, Gilamio Gloria female adult from Parombo sub county, Baby boy of around 3 months old and all are from Nebbi district. The 3 survivors are Oikane Maureen and Akello Lillian all female adults from Erusi sub county in Nebbi district, Muber also known as Kadogo, Male adult from Ajini village, Pakwach district. According to information got on ground, the 8 people were heading to their gardens in Bira village, Nwoya district when their boat capsized on River Nile due to heavy wind. The dead bodies have been collected by the relatives for burial. Effort to recover the only remaining dead body is underway.

UGANDA ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO ELIMINATE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS (IDs) FOR 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise. One would be very NAIVE to think that Bobi Wine has not prepared for this in his Business Plan under the RISK section. It is public knowledge that our EC is not independent.  It is also public knowledge that Military Dictator Yoweri Museveni will never lose an election. What stunned us this morning is when we noticed that on social media, people were mocking Bobi with his "get your Ndagamuntu".  We are on record for saying to all Our readers that the National ID is like Apartheid in South Africa. Students of History would know how those IDs were being used to arrest people, deny them jobs, deny them basic services. Consequently, Bobi was not wrong and will never be wrong on the Ndagamuntu.
