Health Minister Dr Jane Aceng Declares Intention to Contest for Lira District Woman MP Seat.

Uganda’s health minister Jane Ruth Aceng has announced intentions to run for Lira District Woman Member of Parliament.

In a video clip released on Sunday, Aceng says she will run under the ruling party flag.

“I am glad to declare that I will be contesting for Woman MP for Lira District under the Ruling Party, NRM,” she declared.

Jane Ruth Aceng, is a Ugandan pediatrician and politician. She is the Minister of Health in the Cabinet of Uganda.

She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016.

Before that, from June 2011 until June 2016, she served as the Director General of Medical Services in the Ugandan Ministry of Health.
