Kiboga District Woman MP Ruth Nankabirwa has Said, She Will Be MP For 50 Years.

Government Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa has mockingly told people at a public rally (dominated by the youth) that her plan is to be an MP for another 25 years and there is nothing citizens can do about it. Nankabirwa, who Salaam Musumba recently accused of being drunk on power during a TV program, was speaking in Lyantonde at a place called Ryakihura in equally power-hungry James Kakooza’s Kabula County Constituency.

The GCW, who has been MP since leaving school in the 1990s, is continuing to have her stranglehold on Kiboga district which she represents as Woman MP. She took the mantle from Rhoda Kalema (an old UPM lady she has since forgotten) who first introduced her to the President. Nankabirwa used to be one of the nice-looking young ladies that would be called upon to serve on the high table whenever the H.E. visited Kiboga which is part of the greater Luwero triangle. She has been a Minister since as Rhoda Kalema she replaced was a Minister herself. She has always been a hard incumbent to compete with for the Kiboga job and as we talk, Rose Zimulinda who (with backing of some Generals twice stood against her) is these days very subdued and has no appetite trying again.
Some of the MPs jubilate with Museveni during the Greater Masaka tour
During the Lyantonde rally as they waited for the President, Kakooza who was MC kept called on senior politicians to greet the crowd. Many used the opportunity to praise fellow senior politicians and long serving MPs including VP Edward Sekandi who Lwengo woman MP Cissy Namujju romantically described as “a baby-faced politician” who nobody shouldn’t dare antagonize in his Bukoto Central constituency.
On her part, Nankabirwa told a laid-back crowd: “We touched it era ekyo kyaggwa [we changed the Constitution and scrapped age limit. That’s a done deal]. There is nothing you can do about that. We have delivered services and Mzee will be here for as long as he lives. Nothing can terminate his presidency. Let me assure you. Ebya Mzee byo byagwa [For Mzee everything is sorted]. Naye naffe tukyaliwo. Tetulina gyetugenda. Nze nakabafuga abe Kiboga ebisanja bina. Kati nkyayagalayo ebirala ngabitano awo nange mpumule nkite omulala akikwate [But we as MPs and Ministers are also still here. We aren’t going anywhere. In my case i have so far been MP for four terms and I still need five more terms whereafter I will retire and someone else takes over.”
Museveni acknowledges cheers from supporters at the greater Masaka tour.
Many in the crowd indifferently looked on as the Kiboga woman MP bragged about her political invincibility. As she bragged, other equally long-serving MPs and senior politicians wildly cheered confirming these were their views too. More five terms as MP simply implies Nankabirwa has determined to rule the people of Kiboga for a whopping 50 years because going by her own revelations, she already has done 20 plus another 25 (equaling 5 terms) bringing the total to 45 (approximately 50) years.
As she moved to invite the VP to speak after the President finally arrived, Presidency Minister Easter Mbayo acquiesced to Nankabirwa’s utterances and concurred with Cissy Namujju who earlier on described Sekandi as the sexiest baby-faced politician that ever lived. Boyed by the public endorsement from the large crowd of female politicians present, Sekandi spoke with unprecedented swag as he invited his boss the President to deliver his address. Among those who cheered Nankabirwa were Anifa Kawooya, Irene Muloni, Vincent Sempijja, Joy Kabatsi and Syda Bbumba who has been Nakaseke MP for an eternity. Other cheerleaders were Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi (they called her mugole because she had just defected to NRM), Aisha Sekindi, Ruth Katushabe and Simeo Nsubuga who supported the ideas of leaders serving for an eternity.

📸: Gen Abel Kandiho. On 9-December-2021, USA slapped sanctions against the then CMI Commander Gen Abel Kandiho. 📸: Gen Kale Kayihura. On 9-December-2022, UK slapped sanctions against former Police Boss Gen Kale Kayihura. 📸: Commissioner General of Prisons, Johnson Byabashaija. Again on this 4-December-2023, the same USA has slapped sanctions against Uganda Prisons Commander Johnson Byabashaija over alleged torture and human rights abuses in Prisons across Uganda. We ask, has USA and UK made December as an LCM to slap sanctions against high ranking government officials in Uganda even when the sanctions just remain on paper without deeper investigations to ascertain logical conclusions or remedy to that effect ?. #iip_updates  #Information_is_Power  #we_inform_the_uninformed

UGANDA ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO ELIMINATE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS (IDs) FOR 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise. One would be very NAIVE to think that Bobi Wine has not prepared for this in his Business Plan under the RISK section. It is public knowledge that our EC is not independent.  It is also public knowledge that Military Dictator Yoweri Museveni will never lose an election. What stunned us this morning is when we noticed that on social media, people were mocking Bobi with his "get your Ndagamuntu".  We are on record for saying to all Our readers that the National ID is like Apartheid in South Africa. Students of History would know how those IDs were being used to arrest people, deny them jobs, deny them basic services. Consequently, Bobi was not wrong and will never be wrong on the Ndagamuntu. Except the ones attacking him and mocking him forget that in Uganda, now, no National ID (Ndagamuntu), no service.  If you have not been denied registering your child i...
