LET THE WORLD READ THIS. Press Release 13/03/2018 The regime in Juba is responsible for harassment along Uganda border. The SPLA IO learnt with dismay the lame excuse made by the regime’s spy (Oliver Duku) in Moyo that the cattle raid recently carried out in Metu Sub-County was done by cattle rustlers from South Sudan; and its not surprising that a UPDF soldier who is well trained got killed in an attempt to recover the cattle. There is no such thing as cattle rustlers in the Madi or Kuku areas. These are peaceful communities being destroyed by the regime. These cattle raiders came from across the Nile in and around Pageri and Lobonok where they are herding thousands of cattle belonging to Salva Kiir, Kuol Manyang Juuk, Marial Chinoung and Makuei Lueth. The herders are professional SPLA IG soldiers deployed, armed and fed by the regime. Recently the members of Parliament in Imotong State passed a motion not to disturb the herders in Pageri since they are protecting the cattle of the president. Therefore, the regime should take responsibility for raiding cattle of innocent civilians in Metu. Some of these cattle raided can be found amongst the cattle of Salva Kiir and his cliques in Pageri and Lobonok. Secondly, the SPLA IO refuses any notion of its forces being approached by the regime’s corrupt elements to discuss issues pertaining the so called “national dialogue.” The is in response to the statement made by the new Governor of Yei River (Emmanue Adil Anthony) last Friday 09/03/2018 that; his government was ready to meet the armed groups wherever they want and agree on issues of concern which were not addressed in the earlier grass root agreement. This is unwelcome as its aimed at profiting individuals in the name of the suffering civilians and avoiding accountability. The SPLA IO only recognizes the HLRF where it’s leadership is participating; nothing less. The resistance continues. Col. Lam Paul Gabriel SPLA IO Deputy Military Spokesperson
