Deputy RCC, Mr Adomati Dickson has Today Officially Launched Emyooga Sacco for Widows and Veterans in Arua.
The Deputy Resident City Commissioner, Arua city, Mr. Adomati Dickson has today, 18th August, 2021 launched and opened the office of Arua central division veterans, widows and children's Emyooga SACCO office at social centre in Arua city.
Speaking during the launch, Dickson applauded President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni for this well thought initiative and promised to ensure that this seed capital revolves, grows until the lives of the veterans and their families are improved. Adomati warned civil servants and the leaders of the SACCO against corruption and segregation adding that he will not tolerate vanishing of the funds and that he would direct the police to arrest those who will disappear with this seed capital.
Mr. Ezama Ham Muzamil, the sub regional coordinator of EMYOOGA West Nile on his part said, all the 18 SACCOS of the central division, Arua city, have received the EMYOOGA funds and that he had performed 100% in disbursement of the funds.
The chairman of the group promised to ensure this EMYOOGA money is safe and all the six groups will receive it. The chairman informed the members that they had budgeted for 2 raxa motorcycles to keep raising money to sustain the SACCO and will lend the balance of the funds to the members.
The commercial officer sensitized the members about the rules of cooperatives including cooperation, unity, commitment, honesty among others.
In his closing remarks, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner advised the members to observe SOPs and Presidential directives on Covid-19 because Covid is real.
