Mr Paul Kagame appears to want more than messages and conversations.

Whereas this video may not be very current, it captures the current deeper sentiments of Mr Kagame.  Remember there have been serious mediation the likes of the President of Angola and several summits including one held at the border between Uganda and Rwanda attended by the Angola president.  That didn't solve the problem.  If doubt the visit of Muhoozi Kainerugaba would do the magic bullet  We will surely analyse how we got to this point.  In my previous submissions tracing the Ankole and Rwandese question in the Rise and Fall of the Museveni NRA Occupation #alnakba, I averred there was scanty evidence linking FRONASA to the Tutsi military that was repulsed on the outskirts of Kigali during the counter Hutu Revolution.  I observed that most of the Tutsi military withdrew and disappeared in Tanzania.  During the give away ceremony of Mr Caleb Akandwanaho's daughter a one Kokondeka Jovia, the girl's mother and Saleh wife mobilised a sizeable number of Museveni relatives fro

Google’s Founding Motto is “Don’t be Evil”.

Attorney General Paxton filed his third lawsuit against Google, again alleging that the company is systematically misleading and deceiving Texas consumers in violation of Texas’ Deceptive Trade Practices Act. This most recent Google lawsuit argues that the company misled Texas consumers by continuing to track their personal location even when users thought they had disabled this feature. Google then uses the deceptively gathered data to push advertisements to the consumer, earning the Big Tech company enormous profits.   Google provides a setting called “Location History” and tells users that, if they turn it off, “the places you go are no longer stored.” In spite of this assurance, Google continues to track users’ location through other settings and methods that it fails to adequately disclose. “Google’s founding motto is ‘Don’t Be Evil.’ And yet it systematically lies to millions of consumers in order to stack billions of dollars into its coffers,” said Attorney General Paxton. “Big

Site Engineer Arrested, Trucks Impounded for Damaging Underground Network Cables for CCTV Cameras.

The Directorate of ICT in close coordination with CID and Kakiri Territorial Police are actively investigating circumstances under which a section of the underground fibre cable network in Kakiri, Wakiso was damaged during a site clearance for construction works, by engineer Kyambade Eddy. As a result, the robust underground cables for the CCTV zones in Kakiri, Wakiso, were damaged, thus disrupting the cable network of the CCTV, in Kakiri, Masuliita, Namayumba and Kikandwa.  In addition, the disruptions do affect the monitoring of security and safety of persons within the CCTV zone, thus affecting our response to emergency. Although our team of ICT experts are working on the restoration of the CCTV networks, we are getting more concerned, because this is the third incident, where our underground fibre networks are damaged, yet the protection zone is clearly marked on major roads, highways, towns and other localities. We want to caution all road contractors to work closely with the Di

The Agony of Life, Episode Two; #Marriage.

Lemeriga Fadhil; Newly Constructed Arua Main Market Stalls Fraudulently Occupied by Arua City Officials.

Emotet Now Using Unconventional IP Address Formats to Evade Detection.

Social engineering campaigns involving the deployment of the Emotet malware botnet have been observed using “unconventional” IP address formats for the first time in a bid to sidestep detection by security solutions. This involves the use of hexadecimal and octal representations of the IP address that, when processed by the underlying operating systems, get automatically converted “to the dotted decimal quad representation to initiate the request from the remote servers,” Trend Micro’s Threat Analyst, Ian Kenefick, said in a report Friday. The infection chains, as with previous Emotet-related attacks, aim to trick users into enabling document macros and automate malware execution. The document uses Excel 4.0 Macros, a feature that has been repeatedly abused by malicious actors to deliver malware. Once enabled, the macro invokes a URL that’s obfuscated with carets, with the host incorporating a hexadecimal representation of the IP address — “h^tt^p^:/^/0xc12a24f5/cc.html” — to execute a

Elites and Politicians in Africa Using Social Media to Cling on Power as They Suppress Freedom of Speech and Threaten , Arrest Bloggers / Critics.

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni is suspected of using fake social media accounts to consolidate his power. He wouldn’t be the only one in Africa. Is social media becoming a threat to democracy on the continent? In early 2021, Facebook (Meta) deactivated more than 20 accounts linked to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party. Shortly afterward, Twitter also followed suit, closing 11% of the nearly 3,500 accounts worldwide that allegedly spread pro-government propaganda. Thus in total, almost 440 Ugandan social media accounts close to the Ugandan government have been blocked by social media networks in the East African country to date. Both Twitter and Facebook accuse the Ugandan government of using social media as a tool politicians to manipulate public opinion, spread disinformation, and intimidate the opposition. Facebook also stated that as part of its strategy, the Ministry of Information had been using “fake and duplicate accounts” for

Russia has deployed tens of thousands of troops near the Ukraine border, triggering the worst security crisis to emerge between Moscow and the West since the Cold War.

The West, led by the US, has thrown its weight behind Ukraine, which lost control of its Crimean Peninsula when Russia annexed it in 2014. The Kremlin has justified its military muscle-flexing as an attempt to counter decades of NATO expansion in the region. Russia has demanded legally binding guarantees that the NATO alliance will not embrace Ukraine and other former Soviet nations, or place weapons there. It also wants NATO to pull back its forces from countries in Central and Eastern Europe that joined the alliance since the 1990s. Russia has also been accused of backing armed separatists in eastern Ukraine. The conflict has left more than 13,000 people dead in nearly eight years of fighting. A 2015 peace deal brokered by France and Germany helped end large-scale battles, but a political settlement has stalled, and frequent skirmishes have continued along the tense line of contact. In early 2021, a spike in ceasefire violations in the east and a Russian troop concentration near Ukra

The Management of Arua Academy Secondary School has Apologized to the Public for Hiccups, Promises to Revamp the Academic Excellence of the School as they Celebrate Years of Operationalization.

"Persistent and continuous struggle leads to greater heights." The school now has full electricity. Congratulations once again!. Life is a struggle. Despite the numerous challenges faced by the school, two great achievements have been made. 1. Clearance at UNEB. 2. Now electricity installed. Management is working on enrollment. The rest will come to pass. Covid-19 came as a blessing in disguise for the school. We give glory to the Almighty. I think I will advise the management to start a strong organisation of old students. They are many and will completely revamp the school. All schools which once faced depression wer

U.S. Sanctions 4 Former Ukrainian Government Officials for Working with Russia to Destabilize Ukraine.

The U.S. Treasury Department on Thursday announced sanctions against four current and former Ukrainian government officials for engaging in "Russian government-directed influence activities" in the country, including gathering sensitive information about its critical infrastructure. The agency said the four individuals were involved in different roles as part of a concerted influence campaign to destabilize the nation, while also accusing Russia's national security authority, the Federal Security Service (FSB), of recruiting Ukrainians in key positions to create instability. Two of the officials, Taras Kozak and Oleh Voloshyn, are alleged to have worked to amplify false narratives and undermine confidence in the Ukrainian government, while Vladimir Sivkovich, former Deputy Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, attempted to build support for Ukraine to officially cede Crimea to Russia. "Russia has directed its intelligence services to recru

Europol Shuts Down “VPNLab”, a VPN Provider that was Basically Used by Hackers.

VPNLab.net, a VPN provider that was used by malicious actors to deploy ransomware and facilitate other cybercrimes, was taken offline following a coordinated law enforcement operation. Europol said it took action against the misuse of the VPN service by grounding 15 of its servers on January 17 and rendering it inoperable as part of a disruptive action that took place across Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Latvia, Ukraine, the U.S., and the U.K. A second outcome of the seizure is that at least 100 businesses that have been identified as at risk of impending cyber attacks are being notified. Europol didn't disclose the names of the companies. Established in 2008, the tool provided an advanced level of anonymity by offering double VPN connections to its clients — wherein the internet traffic is routed through two VPN servers located in different countries instead of one — for as cheap as $60 a year. "This made VPNLab.net a popular choice fo

BARIFA FOREST ECOTOURISM PROJECT IS TAKING A BLOODY TREND IN ARUA CITY - WESTNILE REGION.

Days ago when Anguzu Vincent was arrested on 18-1-2022 8pm, bond was denied for him, file sanctioned and he was remanded to Giligili government prison until 28-1-2022. A day ago, two guys suspected to have confiscated Hon Oguzu Lee’s slashing machine during their demonstration in Barifa Forest months ago were arrested and detained at Arua CPS. Early this morning 8am 21-1-2022, Hon Feta Geoffrey, Titus Acewere plus some 15 Youths stormed Arua Central Police station when complainant Hon Denis Oguzu Lee went there to record his statement over the case. Hon Oguzu Lee was with some man called Mr Yuda. The then high tempered people began quarreling with Police and Hon Oguzu. They wanted a physical fight but Hon Oguzu and Mr Yuda refused to fight with them. Police feared them because their numbers overwhelmed the police at Arua CPS and they eventually went away with the two suspects who have been detained at CPS. They (Hon Feta, Acewere and the team) claimed the suspects have spent more than

Updates on Day Two of Anguzu Vincent in Detention, Remanded to Giligili Government Prison for Two More Weeks

Following the arrest of Anguzu Vincent on 18-1-2022 8pm (20:00GMT) under the command of Titus Acewere, many people have been following up the matter on which charges he would be charged of. Yesterday 19-1-2022, the OC CID and DPC Arua City asked us to be patient as investigations into this case (Cyber Harassment)  were ongoing and Anguzu would probably be released on police bond today 20-1-2022. When we (Osuta Yusuf, Lydia Endraa, Bavule Muzamil and Bako Judith) went to secure a bond for Anguzu Vincent at Arua CPS, we were delayed until 5:00pm and they told us the investigations are over and the file has been sanctioned! therefore we should prepare to seek for him bail from court. Remember, both OC CID and DPC were busy on telephone calls before telling us the file is sanctioned. Who they were speaking to on phone was not our concern. Because the time was late 5pm, we had to part our ways thinking court has closed. Reaching to court, judge analyzed Anguzu's file but concluded that,

CAN YOUR LANDLORD ENTER YOUR HOUSE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT PERMISSION?.

No, your landlord should not enter your house just because they built it. By law the landlord owns property and gives it out in return for rent every month you use this house.   The law gives every tenant a right to enjoy the use of the house without interference from any other person including the landlord if you continue to comply with all the terms of the agreement. (This is called the quiet possession). As a compromise, the law will allow your landlord to occasionally enter the house to inspect it to ensure that it is safe for the tenants (habitable) and it is good and repairable condition. However, the landlord should notify you in advance and you agree on a suitable time. But this should not be weekly or monthly. 📷: Nation Media Group Kenya #BarefootLaw #osutayusuf

A DAY IN COURT.

On Monday morning, Kapeere was brought to court from the police cell with a swollen eye, cough, and diarrhoea. Fred (who Kapeere fought with) was also present for their case for fighting. The magistrate is going to hear their case for the first time and Nakimuli who has come with Fred (her husband) to court wants to know what Fred should say in order to survive being sent to prison.   WHAT IS A PLEA?  When a person is accused of committing a criminal offense, the law (our Constitution) says they presumed to be innocent until they are proven guilty. Therefore, the court must give that person a chance to say if he/she indeed committed the crime they are accused of or not. Kapeere and Fred are charged with the offense of fighting in public (this is called affray), Although there were people who saw them fighting, the law still looks at them as innocent until they are  proven guilty by the court. Therefore the magistrate has to ask them whether they are indeed guilty of the offense of fight

ILLEGAL FISH MARKET ESTABLISHED AT LOBIDRA IN TANGANYIKA WARD, OLI DIVISION - ARUA CITY.

Following speculation news about the illegal fish 🐟 market that has subjected Central Division Arua City Mayor Muzaid Khemis under scrutiny, we took some time to go confirm if such an illegal structure has been erected there. Indeed, we found out the news wasn't just a mere speculation of rumors but a fact on ground. With an earlier viral news on impending impeachment of Hon Muzaid Khemis, if the investigation discovers he used his individual capacity as the Mayor to permit that construction after receiving a bribe of over 100 million shs as alleged in some reports,  he will surely be impeached and a by-election date shall be fixed. Stay tuned on this online publication site as we shall be reporting any event that unfolds in that regard. #We_Inform_the_Uninformed Whatsapp; +256784136406  and +256393225549 Telegram https://t.me/osutayusuf https://theinformersdotcom.wordpress.com https://osutayusuf.blogspot.ug

Technology; 5G Network Becomes a Threat to Aeroplanes.

Major international airlines cancelled flights heading to the United States or changed the planes they’re using Wednesday, the latest complication in a dispute over concerns that 5G mobile phone service could interfere with aircraft technology. Some airlines said they were warned that the Boeing 777, a plane used by carriers worldwide, was particularly affected by the new high-speed wireless service. The aircraft is the workhorse for Dubai-based Emirates, a key carrier for East-West travel, and its flight schedule took one of the biggest hits. Musk in talks with Brazil on monitoring Amazon rainforest end of list It was not clear how disruptive the cancellations would be. Several airlines said they would try to merely use different planes to maintain their service. The cancellations and changes came a day after mobile phone carriers AT&T and Verizon said they would postpone new wireless service near some US airports planned for this week. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Spend Night in the Police Cells.

Fred (Nakimuli's husband) somehow survived spending the weekend in police cells, however, since Nakimuli had already reported another case (cyber harassment) against Kapeere he was denied police bond and he spent the night in the cells. The night could not have been worse, first Kapeere stepped on someone's foot and got slapped, he then went to the toilet for a long call, and this annoyed everyone. The people in the cell took turns beating Kapeere. Long story short, Kapeere wants revenge on Fred, the people who beat him. He wants to know how to get justice for what happened to him.  Are you entitled to the same conditions of living in a cell as in your house? NO, you are not. The law requires police to uphold the human rights of people who are detained. This means that the cell or if it is a prison, it must be habitable (suitable) for a human being. However, this does not mean it should be a ‘five star’ hotel. No one is entitled to preferential treatment in a police cell becaus

Google Disables 2G Networks for Androids, Apple Advised to Do the Same for iPhones and iPads Over a Security Vulnerability in the Network.

The 2G network has a history of more than 30 years, and there are still many services that uses 2G. However, since the network is far behind, much less attention is given to it. For this reasons and more, the network has too many security holes. Google has officially disabled the 2G network in the Android system. Now, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) also wants Apple to learn from Android and turn off the 2G network on iPhones. Google added a feature switch in Android 12 that enables or disables the “Allow 2G” feature in the SIM card settings. The EFF praised Google’s approach and asked Apple to follow up. The foundation wants Apple to also add the function of turning off the 2G network in the iPhone. As of now, this is not available on the iPhone. The EFF wants this in the hope of improving the security of mobile users because there are too many security loopholes in the 2G network. 2G network has many security risk. The 2G network came out in 1991 and has a history of more th
