Greed has Poisoned Human Soul, We Think Too Much but Feel Too Little.

Charlie Chaplin. The Great Dictator 1940. ............................................................................................................................................ I'm sorry but I don't want to be an Emperor. That's not my business. I don't want to  rule or conquer anyone.  I should like to help everyone if possible. We all want to help one another -- human beings  are like that. We all want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery.  We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone  and the earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful. But we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped  us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in:  machinery ...

Hackers Using Fake DDoS Protection Pages to Distribute Malware.

WordPress sites are being hacked to display fraudulent Cloudflare DDoS protection pages that lead to the delivery of malware such as NetSupport RAT and Raccoon Stealer. "A recent surge in JavaScript injections targeting WordPress sites has resulted in fake DDoS prevent prompts which lead victims to download remote access trojan malware," Sucuri's Ben Martin  said  in a write-up published last week. Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection pages are essential browser verification checks designed to deter bot-driven unwanted and malicious traffic from eating up bandwidth and taking down websites. The new attack vector involves hijacking WordPress sites to display fake DDoS protection pop-ups that, when clicked, ultimately lead to the download of a malicious ISO file ("security_install.iso") to the victim's systems. This is achieved by injecting three lines of code into a JavaScript file ("jquery.min.js"), or alternatively into the active the...

DHCP vs. Static IP: Which Is Best for Internet?

Whether your trade show setup requires big screens with cool videos or just a couple laptops, you’re going to need internet access. At Hyper Networks, we get asked all the time: do I need static or DHCP IP? The short answer is that DHCP is usually the best way to go for trade show internet needs. Here’s why, how IP addressing works, and when you might need static.  What’s the difference between static and DHCP IP?  An IP (internet protocol) address is a number that identifies each device on a network. With a static IP address, this unique number stays the same. With a DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) address, this number is automatically assigned to each device from a pool of available numbers on the network. Just like it sounds: static is permanent; dynamic is temporary.  There’s a reason it’s called an address. The internet works a lot like a postal system. Just like street addresses identify where mail should be delivered, IP addresses identify wh...

Iranian Hackers Targeting Organizations, Energy Sector, Shipping Companies, Health Care System and Government of Israel.

Israeli Organizations for Espionage A suspected Iranian threat activity cluster has been linked to attacks aimed at Israeli shipping, government, energy, and healthcare organizations as part of an espionage-focused campaign that commenced in late 2020. Cybersecurity firm Mandiant is tracking the group under its uncategorized moniker UNC3890, which is believed to conduct operations that align with Iranian interests. "The collected data may be leveraged to support various activities, from hack-and-leak, to enabling kinetic warfare attacks like those that have plagued the shipping industry in recent years," the company's Israel Research Team noted. Intrusions mounted by the group lead to the deployment of two proprietary pieces of malware: a "small but efficient" backdoor named SUGARUSH and a browser credential stealer called SUGARDUMP that exfiltrates password information to an email address associated with Gmail, ProtonMail, Yahoo, and Yandex. The Deputy Speaker’s concern followed a matter of national importance raised by Arua Central legislator, Jackson Atima, who informed Parliament of the death of 14 people in West Nile after allegedly consuming a locally manufactured alcohol called City 5  (See photo below 👇). Atima informed Parliament that survivors of the alcoholic drink are being treated at Arua Regional Referral Hospi...

WHO SOLD NIGERIA TO THE BRITISH FOR £865K IN 1899 ?.

This is the story of the first oil war, which was fought in the 19th century, in the area that became Nigeria. All through the 19th century, palm oil was highly sought-after by the British, for use as an industrial lubricant for machinery. Remember that Britain was the world’s first industrialised nation, so they needed resources such as palm oil to maintain that. Palm oil, of course, is a tropical plant, which is native to the Niger Delta. Malaysia’s dominance came a century later. By 1870, palm oil had replaced slaves as the main export of the Niger Delta, the area which was once known as the Slave Coast. At first, most of the trade in the oil palm was uncoordinated, with natives selling to those who gave them the best deals. Native chiefs such as former slave, Jaja of Opobo became immensely wealthy because of oil palm. With this wealth came influence. However, among the Europeans, there was competition for who would get preferential access to the lucrative oil palm trade. In 1879, G...
