Maracha District Woman MP Aspirant For 2021 Elections, Mrs Bako Judith is Castigating The NRM Government Of Museveni, For His Continious Segregation Of The People Of WestNile Region From Equal Service Delivery And Development.

2020,,,,,,,,Thank you for ushering us and I want to thank God for enabling us to reach this far.

This is my first political writeup for this year and I want whoever reads to take it upon in good faith.

As a young leader in this region, I would like to express my dissatisfaction in the manner in which NRM government is undermining us as west Nile.

HE the President is ever talking about prosperity for every Ugandan but i don't think this will be achievable in west Nile when HE continuesly splashes money  in Kampala and other regions eg recently for youths in karamoja sidelining west Nile.
This therefore means that west Nile as an island does not need prosperity and therefore no need to aid youth and women SACCO'S in this region.

I sometimes feel pity and ashamed for my brothers like Swadick Angupale and Adomati Dickson who always brag that NRM has done enough yet they walk on foot and sometimes have a meal in a day to zipup their mouth in this beautiful year 2020.

Peace doesn't mean absence of gunshots, but the most important peace is if every Ugandan is living above a dollar in a day so this therefore means that NRM government has not achieved this in west Nile.

Recently cabinet was reshuffled and the best as a region we received was state ministers to add pain on injury, one was dropped but other regions have got the majority of ministerial positions and this means that the national cake did not favour west Nile period.

Some regions have demonstration famers who have got aid inform of tractors and irrigation machines from state house can Swadik Angupale tell me any famer in west Nile who has received such equipments?????

West Nile as a big region lacks adequate health facilities such as CT scans,Cancer department that our poor people can access easily in a regional referral hospital like arua and people are bragging that NRM has achieved.

West Nile  boarders two international boundaries of DRC and south Sudan  but the roads are very appealing and this has created constant unsettled insecurity and loss of revenue since the over 15km road lacks URA point especially in maracha and this has for long been  ignored by Angupale swadiks NRM government.

To our leaders in parliament who hail from this region stop coming to popularize NRM just to  enrich your selves and win votes because 2021 will not be like other years and will not be easy because poor people have learnt how u rich people normally deceive them with empty promises which remain unfulfilled.

The constitution of Uganda enshrines that power belongs to the people and that therefore means that  as young people of the region we are ready to work with people who are ready to work with us  come 2021 if NRM government does not address some of these key challenges in west nile from now.

As I conclude, I want every Ugandan in west Nile to wake up and demand without fear or favor for what surely can be of community benefit so that we feel as part of this country.

To us leaders, let's be servants but not to be served.

Happy new year to you all the country men and women from west Nile.

From me,
Bako Judith ( Maracha Zamva)
The District female youth counselor for Maracha.
Contesting as woman member of Parliament for Maracha Independently because I serve people not a political party.

Wazziiiii

UGANDA ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO ELIMINATE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS (IDs) FOR 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

The elimination of using National IDs (Ndagamuntu) for the 2021 elections should not have come as a surprise. One would be very NAIVE to think that Bobi Wine has not prepared for this in his Business Plan under the RISK section. It is public knowledge that our EC is not independent.  It is also public knowledge that Military Dictator Yoweri Museveni will never lose an election. What stunned us this morning is when we noticed that on social media, people were mocking Bobi with his "get your Ndagamuntu".  We are on record for saying to all Our readers that the National ID is like Apartheid in South Africa. Students of History would know how those IDs were being used to arrest people, deny them jobs, deny them basic services. Consequently, Bobi was not wrong and will never be wrong on the Ndagamuntu. Except the ones attacking him and mocking him forget that in Uganda, now, no National ID (Ndagamuntu), no service.  If you have not been denied registering your child i...

Parliament Urges Government to Provide Shs 4 Billion to Media Houses to Run Awareness Campaign on Tourism in Uganda.

Parliament also urged Gov’t to provide additional Shs4Bn to UTB to engage international and national media houses in production of positive media stories for improved destination image, following reports of drop in number of tourists from US, Europe and China visiting Uganda. "The National Development Plan targeted to cumulatively attract 281,760 International Tourist arrivals from US, Europe & China but only 67,252 arrivals were registered by the end of the first half of FY 2023/24. The U.S, Europe & China were key target source for leisure tourist who stay longer than business tourists. However, statistics show that international arrivals from the aforementioned areas have continue to drop. The UTB requires Shs4Bn to engage international & national media houses in production of positive tourism stories to improve destination perception in light of recent controversies that shade the destination in a bad light. However, this has remained unfunded,” said La...
