#HAPPY_LABOUR_DAY_TO_EVERONE. I Osuta Yusuf would like to wish Ugandans, a Happy Gross Labour Abuse day in Uganda. As Uganda joins the World in commemorating the 1st MAY Labour day celebrations, things aren't traversing well in that upcountry called Uganda. I would like to treasure this moment, to pen down the grappling economy and joblessness state of Uganda. Considering the poor standard of living of poor Ugandans, with some eating once in a day while others barely eat in a day and perhaps, on top of all these, with about 6 million people earning less than 150$ per month and 10 million youth unemployed. Yes, you heard me right! 10 million unemployed youth, which is the third population. In 2014, over 100 Ugandans who were working with ORANGE (AFRICEL) Telecom company were sucked without an adequate reason given by the Telecom company, on why they sucked off Ugandan workers and then replaced them with the people from their abroad country. Neither the government of Uganda took a decision to question ORANGE Telecom company on why Ugandans were sucked and replaced by foreign workers, nor did the Gender, Labour and Social Development Ministry investigated and summoned this company over lack of parity. By then, the International Labour Day celebrations was taken to NTUNGAMU district and Mr Museveni said nothing about the inequality in most Ugandans be met with in the opportunity world. Unemployment rate in Uganda is worsening each year and most departments and stake holders seem to be blind on the fate of youth. In 2014, the then Minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development Mrs #Mary_Karooro_Okurut barely did anything about the dilemma that befell Ugandan youth who were working with ORANGE Telecom. All these deliberate blindness about the fate of youth, sends a clear signal that, The dictatorship government in Uganda has forgotten about youth and the only way forward is to fight it politically and in any means. Happily commemorations of this day deems futile for Ugandan youth, since most of them are barricaded by the dictatorship in Uganda. Ugandans get abuses and insults as a reward. Let me reserve some of my words. Author Osuta Yusuf: a Career Politician, Lawyer, Student for Life and Talented in Internet.
