CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM HON. OGUZU LEE DENIS OVER THE DEATH OF LATE DR. ANDI CHARLES.

(To be read at the burial of Dr. Andi) To the Family, Friends, People of Maracha & all mourners,  I am deeply sorry I cannot be with you today. Urgent government work has taken me out of the Country, but my heart is with you as we bury Dr. Andi—a man who changed our clan forever. To his family, I ask your forgiveness. A great man like him deserved my presence to give my last salute.  To all who gathered, thank you for wrapping Dr. Andi’s family with love. Your being here shows he didn’t just live—he touched lives. Travel home safely, and may God protect you.   To us who know him personally, we've lost more than an iconic leader. We've lost our light as a community. Dr. Andi started with nothing but faced lives hardtimes with courage. He proved "tough times create strong, successful people."  As we celebrate him, we must stop to ask: who will replace our great heroes? Where will the next Dr. Andi, Dr. Ajeani, Dr. Enock Lee, Dr. Alidria, or Brig. W...

With the District Executive Committee (DEC) report recommending the Shs 2M to buy T-shirts as service awards for the Councilors, the Councilor representing the people of Oluffe Sub-county, Hon Paul Drasiku, ridiculed the idea of buying T-shirts rather proposed to the council agree and buy for them cooperative wears. President Museveni Apologizes to Ugandans Over the Unending Corruption in the Country.

Source: Daily Monitor. Monday, May 26, 2025 President Museveni and Janet Museveni at Kololo Independence Grounds on May 25, 2025. PHOTO/PPU  What you need to know: Despite the rare show of contrition, the couple offered no clear reforms or accountability measures, leaving critics skeptical of their introspection. Notably absent from the event was their controversial son and military forces chief, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, whose divisive image has triggered claims of eroding legitimacy.  President Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni have issued a rare joint public apology, acknowledging failures in governance, corruption, and alienation of citizens, especially in Buganda, as political tensions mount ahead of the 2026 general elections. In a carefully choreographed moment at a national evangelical convention organised by their daughter, Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, the couple stood side by side and ...

NUP SIGNS MOU WITH TESO WAR CLAIMANTS.

27-5-2025. Very humbled to spend part of today with thousands of elders from Teso Sub-region, the vast majority of them being war-claimants. Most of these were very rich people in the past, who lost their loved ones, cows and several other properties in the late 1980s. Every successive year, Museveni’s regime has been promising to compensate these people in vain.  Many of the claimants have since died while others are very old and dealing with various ailments without medical care. With all the money the criminal regime steals and what they put to waste, they have spent 40 years lying to these senior citizens! Whenever some little money has been released in the past, it goes to a few selected NRM apologists. Some regime-leaning leaders have turned their plight into a business!  We signed a Memorandum of Understanding with these elders, proclaiming our commitment to their plight. We shall work tooth and nail now and in future to ...

What Kind of Democratic Party Does Uganda Deserve?.

Opinion Written by Alitia Elia, Presidential Aspirant – Democratic Party (DP). 21-5-2025. I have wrestled with this question more times than I can count: What kind of Democratic Party does Uganda deserve? Because the truth is, Uganda does not just need another party. Uganda needs restoration. Not the restoration promised in slogans, but the kind that begins with institutions regaining their soul. And none is more in need of that restoration than the Democratic Party itself. We, the DP were once the moral compass of this nation. Founded on values, built by men who envisioned a republic governed by law, justice, and shared destiny.  Our founders did not speak in anger. They reasoned with clarity. They did not mobilize through fear; they organized through conviction. But if we are being sincere, and I believe leadership begins with brutal honesty; somewhere along the way, we became shadows of that great tradition.  We became too quiet when the country needed us to spe...
